Hyundai Motor India has outlined major product updates for the Indian market, including a refresh for two of its key models, the Verna and Exter, planned for 2026. The company’s strategy involves launching 26 new models by 2030, encompassing a variety of powertrains like ICE, electric, and hybrid options, to meet diverse customer requirements. This strategic move is aimed at achieving the second-largest market share in India’s automotive sector, competing with established brands such as Mahindra & Mahindra and Tata Motors.

The 2026 product updates include the launch of the all-new Hyundai Bayon compact crossover and the Exter EV, alongside the Verna and Exter facelifts. The upcoming facelifts are expected to bring cosmetic and feature upgrades while maintaining the current engine specifications.

According to the reports, the 2026 Hyundai Verna facelift will showcase significant changes to its front design, incorporating redesigned headlamps, taillamps, and updated bumpers. Interior enhancements, including new upholstery and additional safety features, are also anticipated, along with minor changes to the exterior design.

The Hyundai Verna is currently offered with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine and a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine. The base model starts at Rs 11.07 lakh, and the top-end trim is priced at Rs 17.58 lakh (ex-showroom). The Hyundai Exter features a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, and it is also available in a CNG variant. The Exter’s price ranges from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 10.51 lakh (ex-showroom). Both Verna and Exter are expected to see a slight price increase following the 2026 midlife updates.
