Kia is working on a refreshed Seltos, as evidenced by recent sightings of a camouflaged test mule. The test vehicle suggests updates to the headlights and front styling, with the new Seltos expected to launch early next year. The exterior incorporates design elements from the EV9 and Syros, and features an extended wheelbase. The front design includes a concave grill and new bumper details. The rear will also receive a redesign, with a continuous light bar likely. Interior upgrades are anticipated, with design inspiration from other Kia models. The current engine options are expected to remain, including a 115Hp 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol, a 160Hp 1.5-liter turbo petrol, and a 116Hp 1.5-liter diesel engine. A hybrid powertrain is anticipated, potentially utilizing the 1.5-liter NA petrol engine. The Seltos facelift will compete with the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Tata Curvv. While the Hyundai Creta’s launch is planned for 2027, the Kia Seltos facelift might arrive sooner. If the Seltos introduces a hybrid powertrain, the Hyundai Creta is likely to follow suit with a similar option.
