Virat Kohli has climbed to fifth in the ICC ODI batting rankings, a move facilitated by a slump in form for Pakistan’s Babar Azam. Azam has fallen two spots to seventh after failing to convert starts into significant scores in recent matches against South Africa and Sri Lanka. His rating points have decreased by 19, leaving him with 709.

Kohli, currently holding 725 rating points, benefits from this shift. Sri Lanka’s Charith Asalanka is now sixth in the standings. Kohli is expected to participate in the upcoming ODI series against South Africa starting November 30th.

Rohit Sharma remains the undisputed number one ODI batter. The Indian captain maintains a strong lead with 781 rating points, having last been recognized as player of the series during India’s tour of Australia.

Regarding the ODI bowling rankings, Rashid Khan of Afghanistan holds the top position with 710 rating points. Jofra Archer of England has advanced to second place, while Keshav Maharaj has dropped. Kuldeep Yadav of India is the only Indian bowler featured in the top 10, occupying the sixth spot with 634 rating points.
