West Bengal’s simmering border crisis took center stage as BJP’s Shazia Ilmi unleashed a blistering critique of Mamata Banerjee’s government for allegedly fostering illegal immigration. In a detailed exposition broadcast across social media, Ilmi outlined how the TMC regime has systematically provided refuge to Bangladeshi infiltrators, compromising India’s sovereignty.

Ilmi backed her claims with satellite imagery and ground reports showing new settlements sprouting along the Indo-Bangla border. Districts like Nadia and Birbhum, she noted, have witnessed a 30% population spike attributable to unchecked influxes. ‘Mamata ji’s hospitality to intruders is at the expense of Bengal’s sons and daughters,’ Ilmi stated, linking it to rising crimes and resource strains.

She delved into policy failures, slamming the withdrawal of border checkposts and lax vigilante enforcement. Ilmi also highlighted international ramifications, warning that such laxity invites global scrutiny on India’s border management. Calling for immediate NRC implementation, she vowed BJP’s commitment to repatriating infiltrators humanely but firmly.

TMC leaders hit back, accusing BJP of stoking communal fires for votes. Undeterred, Ilmi challenged them to a public debate on facts versus rhetoric. With elections looming, this infiltrator row is poised to dominate headlines, forcing voters to confront uncomfortable truths about their state’s future.

Ilmi’s intervention marks a strategic escalation in BJP’s Bengal campaign, blending national security with local grievances in a potent mix.
