Total of 19, including 9 Naxalites with rewards of 2.8 million, abandon the path of violence; Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai congratulates the security forces

Raipur, March 17, 2025 / Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, while congratulating the security forces on the surrender of a total of 19 Naxalites, including 9 with rewards of Rs 2.8 million, to the security forces in Bijapur district and their abandonment of the path of violence, said that the Chhattisgarh government is continuously taking every possible step to keep the morale of its security forces high and to make Bastar Naxal-free. He said that this surrender is a major step towards a peaceful and developed future for Chhattisgarh. He said that the positive effect of the Chhattisgarh government’s new Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy – 2025 is beginning to show.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that our double-engine government is working to drive the final nail into the coffin of the cancer that is Naxalism. He said that people trapped in the vicious cycle of Naxalism are now rejoining the mainstream of society, which is welcome.

On this achievement, the Chief Minister reiterated the resolve of the यशस्वी Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah Ji, saying that the complete eradication of Naxalism from Chhattisgarh is certain by March 2026.

Effective Strategy of the Government – Increased Public Trust

The Chief Minister said that people’s trust in the government has increased due to the continuous establishment of security camps by the state government in remote areas of Bastar division, the construction of roads under the Niyad Nella Nar scheme, and the expansion of education and health services. Due to this trust, Naxalite organizations are weakening and Naxalites are being forced to return to the mainstream. He assured that the government is fully prepared for the rehabilitation and resurgence of those who abandon Naxalism and return to the mainstream.
