During a SpiceJet flight from Mumbai to Bengaluru, a passenger was unfortunately confined to the aircraft’s restroom for the duration of the flight. The airline has offered a refund and apologized for the incident. The flight, which was initially scheduled to depart at 10:55 PM, eventually took off at 2:10 AM, delayed by two hours. The passenger, seated in seat 14D, entered the lavatory shortly after takeoff and was unable to open the door. The crew tried to assist, but the door remained locked. The crew then passed a handwritten note under the door, requesting that the passenger remain seated on the toilet until the plane landed in Bengaluru. After the flight landed at approximately 3:45 AM, the door was opened by ground staff. The incident created amusement online, with many people commenting on the crew’s actions. The airline has since issued a statement of regret.
