    Naiduniya representative, Sheopur: During the procession taken out on Monday on the occasion of Eid Miladunnabi, Muslim youth waved the flag of another country and raised provocative slogans in front of Sitaram temple. Burning cotton bombs were thrown in the houses of Hindus. Hindu organizations surrounded the police station in protest against the incident. SP Virendra Jain reached the police station and called the people of both the communities and discussed the matter.

    The police have registered a case against four named people in this case and have arrested them. Some unknown accused are also being identified. Four policemen posted on duty in the area during the procession have been suspended.

    Objectionable slogans in front of the temple

    According to the information, the procession was going towards Peer Mazar. During this, some youths started waving objectionable flags. When the procession passed in front of Sitaram Ji temple located in Bhoi Mohalla, provocative slogans were raised and burning cotton bombs were thrown into the houses of Hindus. On protest, people started raising slogans loudly. The atmosphere in the city became tense.

    Case registered against the accused

    After this, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal and the people of the city gathered and reached the police station. They demanded the police to identify the anti-social elements and register a case against them. They also warned to close the market in the city on Tuesday.

    On the complaint of Rashid, the police have registered a case against Malik, Kannu and others, while on the complaint of the second complainant Vikram Chauhan, a case has been registered against Lalu, Nazim, Kannu and other unknown people and investigation has been started.

    Actions based on video

    The Superintendent of Police said that action has been taken in the case on the basis of the video, whatever legal procedure is required will be followed. The SP assured both the parties that every necessary step will be taken to maintain peace in the city and he appealed to everyone to maintain peace.

    four policemen suspended

    Assistant Sub Inspector Suresh Sikarwar Kotwali, Head Constable Govind, Constable Deepak, Constable Vipin Singh have been suspended with immediate effect for negligence towards duty. During the suspension period, the said government servant will receive subsistence allowance as per rules and during the suspension period the headquarters will be the Reserve Center Sheopur, they will not leave the headquarters without permission.
