    Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva engaged in a phone conversation that led to an agreement to reinforce collaboration across multiple sectors. The leaders aimed to strengthen ties in trade, technology, energy, defense, agriculture, health, and people-to-people relations. They also discussed regional and global issues of common interest and committed to maintaining regular contact to propel the India-Brazil strategic partnership. PM Modi also posted on X about the conversation, expressing his gratitude for the visit and the commitment towards a people-centric partnership among Global South nations.

    Prior to the call, at the 17th BRICS summit, the leaders discussed a mutual approach to fighting terrorism and the growth in defense cooperation. They also discussed critical areas, including artificial intelligence, supercomputers, agriculture, food security, energy transformation and climate change.
