India secured the Asia Cup 2025 title by defeating Pakistan in a thrilling final played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Pakistan batted first and amassed a score of 146 runs, with Sahibzada Farhan and Fakhar Zaman leading their scoring with 57 and 46 runs. India’s innings got off to a shaky start, as Abhishek Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, and Shubman Gill were all dismissed early. Tilak Varma and Sanju Samson then worked to stabilize India’s innings. Sanju Samson was eventually dismissed at 24 by Abrar Ahmed, and Shivam Dube joined Tilak Varma, who scored a half-century under pressure. The match became increasingly tense when India needed 24 runs from 14 balls. Although Shivam Dube hit a six to reduce the pressure, he was soon dismissed, and Rinku Singh took his place. Ultimately, Tilak Varma’s six secured the win for India.
