The India-England Test series is a marathon of cricket, and workload management is a significant concern after its conclusion. However, this article focuses on two players, Jack Crawley and Harry Brook, who seem to have shrugged off any fatigue. They played in The Hundred just four days after the Test series ended and performed exceptionally, leading their team to victory.

Crawley and Brook, both English cricketers who made their mark in the India-England Test series, played their first match in The Hundred on August 7th. Their performance was instrumental in Northern Superchargers’ win in their season opener.

Northern Superchargers faced Welsh Fire, a team that included Steve Smith, Jonny Bairstow, and Tom Kohler. Welsh Fire batted first and scored 143 runs for 9 wickets in their 100-ball innings, setting a target of 144 runs for Northern Superchargers.

Jack Crawley and Dawid Malan opened the batting for Northern Superchargers, and quickly put on 91 runs in 52 balls. Malan was dismissed after scoring 41 runs from 29 balls. Crawley remained at the crease. When Pepper was out, Brook joined Crawley, and they took control. Their batting showed no sign of any exhaustion from the Test series.

Both Crawley and Brook stayed not out, leading Northern Superchargers to a comfortable win. Crawley scored 67 runs off 38 balls, including 4 sixes and 5 fours. Brook added 25 runs off 15 balls, with 2 sixes and 1 four. Their brilliant batting saw Northern Superchargers reach 147 runs for the loss of only 2 wickets in 89 balls, winning by 8 wickets with 11 balls to spare. Jack Crawley was awarded Player of the Match.
