    Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Japan for the India-Japan Annual Summit, initiated by Shigeru Ishiba, serves as a key opportunity to reinforce India’s strategic standing and foster global stability. The Prime Minister’s initial interaction with the Indian diaspora in Tokyo was marked by warm welcomes and cultural celebrations. During the India-Japan Economic Forum, PM Modi highlighted Japan’s pivotal role in India’s economic development, referencing significant investments by Japanese companies in various sectors. He outlined India’s economic and political strengths, its policy consistency, and its rapid economic growth, anticipating its rise to become the third-largest economy globally. A highlight of the summit was the announcement of an agreement for a joint credit mechanism focused on promoting clean energy and green initiatives. PM Modi detailed India’s ambitious initiatives in AI, semiconductors, quantum computing, biotech, and space, expressing confidence in the power of collaborative technology. He also mentioned that India acts as a gateway for Japanese companies to enter the Global South. Further discussions involved collaboration in AI, space, and clean energy, with a focus on strengthening supply chains and economic resilience. Ishiba also highlighted the importance of people-to-people exchanges and technological integration for sustained economic growth.
