In a compelling third T20 International, India emerged victorious by seven wickets against South Africa at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala, taking a 2-1 lead in the series. The match was characterized by India’s bowlers making the most of seam-friendly conditions to restrict the opposition.

South Africa struggled to build momentum, being bowled out for 117. India’s bowling unit, featuring Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, Varun Chakravarthy, and Kuldeep Yadav, shared the spoils with two wickets each. Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube also chipped in with crucial breakthroughs. Aiden Markram’s valiant 61 was a solitary effort, as the Indian bowlers maintained a tight grip throughout the innings, leaving the Proteas with a challenging total to defend.

India’s chase was significantly boosted by Abhishek Sharma’s electrifying 35 from 18 balls, which set a rapid pace in the initial overs. While Shubman Gill contributed 28 and Tilak Varma remained unbeaten on 25, it was Sharma’s aggressive stroke-play that laid the foundation for the victory. Shivam Dube’s composed 10 not out ensured India crossed the finish line comfortably, with 25 balls remaining. This win highlights India’s dominance and strategic advantage as the series progresses.
