Across India, scorching summer temperatures are prevailing. Several states in North India are grappling with extreme heat. The eastern and central regions of the country are also impacted. The heat has caused a reduction in outdoor activities, with fewer people visible in markets during the daytime. Let’s examine the weather forecast for today.

In Delhi, the sun is intensely hot. On Tuesday, Ayanagar recorded a high of 45.5 degrees Celsius. The weather department projects that Delhi, currently suffering from the heat, will not experience relief for at least two more days. The department has issued an orange alert for strong surface winds and a heatwave today. Strong surface winds and a heatwave are expected to continue tomorrow. Rain and thunderstorms are possible on June 13-14, with continued rainfall on June 15 and 16.

    **Heatwave in 17 UP Districts**

There is a potential for relief from the severe heat in Uttar Pradesh. Light clouds are anticipated in 14 districts today. However, 17 districts will remain under the heatwave’s grip. A yellow alert has been issued for a heatwave in Lalitpur, Jhansi, Jalaun, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Etawah, Kanpur, Banda, Chitrakoot, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Agra, Hathras, Aligarh, and Mathura. Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Sonbhadra, Chandauli, Basti, Deoria, Kushinagar, and Maharajganj will experience mixed conditions of sun and cloud cover. Rain is expected in both the eastern and western regions of the state tomorrow, and on June 13.

**Rain Expected in North Bihar and Jharkhand**

Bihar is experiencing intense heat across the state. The weather department has issued an orange alert for rain in North Bihar. All 19 districts of North Bihar are likely to receive thunderstorms and rain today. A yellow alert has been issued for South Bihar, indicating humid conditions. The weather department has also issued a rain warning for the entire state of Jharkhand today.

**Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana Battling Heat**

Severe heat and heatwave conditions persist in several parts of Rajasthan. The temperature in several cities exceeded 45 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. The weather department forecasts that Rajasthan will not find relief from the severe heat and heatwave in the coming days. Haryana and Punjab are also experiencing intense heat. These states also have no immediate respite from the heat.

    **Weather in the Hills**

Rain is possible in select districts of Uttarakhand today, accompanied by strong winds. The weather department has issued a yellow alert for specific districts. In Himachal Pradesh, the heat has intensified. Weather changes are expected from June 13. Thunderstorms and rain are likely in various areas of the state between June 13-16.
