As ChatGPT establishes a stronger presence in India, the company is refining its AI strategy in the country. OpenAI is exploring partnerships with Reliance Industries to expand its AI offerings. To make AI more accessible, OpenAI has launched ChatGPT Go, a new subscription tier in India priced at ₹399 per month. The Go version brings a suite of enhanced features, including increased messaging and image generation limits, more file upload capacity, and extended memory compared to the free tier. The new plan offers a more budget-friendly alternative to existing premium tiers. OpenAI has also integrated UPI payments to streamline the subscription process for Indian users. The Go plan offers extended access to GPT-5, extended image generation capabilities, increased file upload capacity, advanced data analysis tools, longer memory for personalized responses, and the ability to build personalized AI tools. Some features, such as access to legacy models, third-party integrations, Sora video creation tools, and API usage (billed separately), are not part of the Go plan.
