13 highways to be inbuilt north Karnataka: Gadkari

A complete of 13 nationwide highways overlaying 847 km can be inbuilt north Karnataka at a value of Rs 21,000 crore, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari mentioned on Friday. The development of those highways will start quickly, because the initiatives have been authorised by the Centre, he mentioned after laying the muse for the elevated hall at Hubballi by means of video-conferencing from New Delhi.
To be constructed at a value of Rs 298 crore on the Hubballi-Dharwad bypass, the three.6 km hall will hyperlink National Highways 63 and 218 with National Highway 4, which connects Mumbai and Bengaluru.
Gadkari additionally laid the muse of the two.8 km 4-lane highway and a minor bridge to be constructed close to Dastikoppa at Kalaghatgi in Dharwad district at a value of Rs 25 crore.

Asserting that the Central authorities was dedicated to develop highways within the state, he mentioned a 4-lane ring highway would even be constructed at Belagavi to ease vehicular site visitors congestion within the metropolis.
“The highway project between Hubballi and Hospete in the state’s northern region will also be completed soon to ensure better connectivity to the world’s heritage site at Hampi,” he mentioned.
Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa, who additionally participated within the occasion nearly from Bengaluru, mentioned the elevated hall and a bridge over Bedthi channel at Dastikoppa will ease vehicular site visitors on Ankola-Gooty freeway.
