14 useless as hearth engulfs industrial constructing close to Mundka metro station

NEW DELHI: A large hearth ripped by way of a three-storey industrial constructing close to Mundka metro station in west Delhi Friday night, leaving at the very least 14 useless and 12 injured, police mentioned.

Around 60-70 folks have been rescued from the constructing, the police mentioned, including some persons are nonetheless trapped inside.

According to fireplace division officers, details about the blaze was acquired round 4.40 pm following which 24 hearth tenders have been rushed to the spot.

“It’s a tragic incident, 14 dead bodies confirmed and 12 people are injured,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer) Sameer Sharma mentioned round 10 pm.

The hearth broke out in a constructing close to pillar quantity 544 of the Mundka metro station.
