Excitement gripped West Bengal as WBCHSE released the 2026 Class 12 results Thursday, revealing a robust 91.23% pass percentage. This achievement reflects dedicated preparation amid challenging times.

Statewide first rank went to Adrito Paul of Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission, scoring a phenomenal 496/500 (99.2%). Megha Majumdar from Shrirampur Ramesh Chandra Girls High School secured fifth with 492 marks, leading the girls.

Top honors included nine students: one at the pinnacle, three sharing second at 99% (Jishnu Kundu, Ritobrata Nath, Aithya Pacchal), and five tying for third at 98.8% (Debapriya Maji, Tanmay Mandal, Soumya Roy, Subhayan Mandal, Pritam Ballav).

Post-results, CM Suvendu Adhikari reached out directly through video calls to Adrito and Megha, blessing them and their parents. This initiative underscores his commitment to nurturing young talent.

Adhikari’s X post resonated widely: ‘Warmest felicitations to all HS passers. Your grit and confidence have fruited success. Let this propel you to greater heights, illuminating your paths and Bengal’s pride.’

With exams spanning February 12 to March 27 and attracting over 700,000 registrants, the results signal strong academic health. Toppers now eye prestigious universities, while the state celebrates collective progress.
