Air India has announced the cancellation of eight flights, affecting various international and domestic routes, owing to enhanced maintenance and operational requirements. This follows an earlier announcement of service reductions on flights operated by Boeing 787 and 777 aircraft. The changes will be in effect from June 21, 2025, through at least July 15, 2025. The cancelled international flights include AI906 (Dubai to Chennai), AI2204 (Dubai to Hyderabad), AI308 (Delhi to Melbourne), and AI309 (Melbourne to Delhi). The domestic flights affected are AI874 (Pune to Delhi), AI456 (Ahmedabad to Delhi), AI2872 (Hyderabad to Mumbai), and AI571 (Chennai to Mumbai). The airline stated that the cancellations are also due to enhanced pre-flight safety checks and additional flight times due to airspace closures in the Middle East. Air India is working to stabilize its schedules and minimize passenger disruptions. Many routes will have reduced flight frequency until July 15, 2025, as well.
