The Amarnath Yatra continues with a strong turnout of pilgrims, with over 26,000 visiting the holy shrine in the last two days. Security measures have been significantly enhanced. The Lieutenant Governor inaugurated the new Yatri Niwas complex at Baltal. The Yatra, which began on July 3, is scheduled to last for 38 days, concluding on August 9. More than 350,000 pilgrims have registered online for this year’s pilgrimage, with the administration providing 34 lodging centers. Pilgrims are being issued RFID tags to ensure safety and facilitate tracking. Priority is being given to registered pilgrims.
