Another accused held in reference to violent Kanpur clashes

KANPUR: Kanpur police on Saturday arrested another important accused behind the violent clashes that broke between two teams within the metropolis, after the Friday prayers on June 3, over the problem of the market shutdown.
The police have recognized the arrested accused because the President of Jamiatul Quresh, Nizam Qureshi from Kanpur.
According to the police, Qureshi was usually seen with different accused individuals Hayat Jaffar Hashmi and Hafiz Faisal Zafri. Qureshi was appealed to cease assembly with Hayat throughout a gathering at Akbar Azam Hall on June 1, stated the police.
Recently on June 8, a particular investigation group visited the violent web site and picked up proof.
All accused, together with key conspirator Hayat Zafar Hashmi, have been despatched to 14-day judicial remand on Sunday in reference to the incident. They have been taken to District Jail in Kanpur by the police after they have been despatched on a 14-day remand.
Earlier on Saturday, the Uttar Pradesh Police had stated the principle accused within the Kanpur violence case, Hayat Jaffar Hashmi was arrested together with three different masterminds.
“We will investigate if they had any links with PFI. Action will be taken under Gangster Act, and NSA and their properties will be seized,” Kanpur Police Commissioner Vijay Singh Meena had stated.
Four individuals who have been arrested have been recognized as Hayat Jaffar Hashmi, Javed Ahmed Khan, Mohammad Rahil and Mohammad Suffian. “All of them are associated with Maulana Ali Jauhar Fans Association. We will further ask the court to send them on a 14-days remand,” Meena added.
Earlier on June 5, the district police had despatched all of the accused, together with key conspirator Hayat Zafar Hashmi, for a 14-day judicial remand to the District jail.
The violence began after some individuals tried to close down retailers which have been opposed by the opposite group, stated the police. Two individuals and one policeman have been injured within the aftermath of the clashes.
