Army jawan killed in encounter with militants in J-Okay’s Pulwama
An Army jawan was killed in an encounter with militants in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, police mentioned.
Security forces launched a cordon and search operation at Hanjin village in Rajpora space of the district, following details about presence of militants there, a police official mentioned.
He mentioned the search operation was an encounter after militants opened fireplace on the safety forces, who retaliated.
One soldier was injured within the preliminary change of firing with militants, the official mentioned, including that the jawan succumbed to accidents at a hospital right here.
He mentioned three to 4 ultras have been believed to be trapped within the encounter.
