Bihar’s political circles are abuzz after Chief Minister Nitish Kumar filed for Rajya Sabha membership on Thursday, a decision LJP (RV) MP Arun Bharti views as the close of one chapter and the opening of another. ‘Best wishes for this new voyage,’ Bharti posted, crediting Nitish with transforming Bihar from anarchy to progress.
The announcement came via Nitish’s X post, where he expressed gratitude to the state’s people and readiness for a parliamentary role. NDA leaders witnessed the nomination, signaling alliance cohesion.
Opposition firebrand Tejashwi Yadav didn’t hold back, branding the move as BJP-orchestrated and foretelling JD(U)’s demise. He reminisced about a hypothetical alliance that could have prevented this ‘forced exit.’
Bharti countered by calling out Yadav’s ‘frustrated rants.’ ‘The public has dismissed him, and his partners disregard him. Such despair yields only negativity,’ he observed. Affirming NDA’s support, Bharti expressed optimism that Nitish’s parliamentary expertise will champion Bihar and India’s causes.
This shift comes at a pivotal time for Bihar, with elections looming. Nitish’s legacy includes infrastructure booms and social welfare schemes that lifted millions. As he eyes national duties, the state braces for leadership changes. Political analysts predict this could realign power equations, with NDA aiming to consolidate ahead of future battles.
