Asked about legislation and order, Nitish tells media to not demoralise police

Facing criticism over the state’s legislation and order state of affairs, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday urged the media to not “demoralise the police” and added that Bihar continues to be on the twenty third place within the nation by way of crime.
Referring to the homicide of IndiGo airways station supervisor Rupesh Kumar Singh two days in the past, he stated the police had been totally investigating the case and the state DGP was personally monitoring the probe.
Kumar was chatting with reporters after the opening of a 6.3-km, six-lane highway named after former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Bihar is still placed on the 23rd position in the country in terms of crime.” When requested additional questions, the Chief Minister instructed mediapersons to offer a lead into the investigation.
