The Don Bosco School, Guwahati has been sealed for seven days from Sunday after a trainer and one other one’s member of the family examined optimistic for COVID-19, an official order mentioned. Kamrup Metropolitan Deputy Commissioner Biswajit Pegu declared your entire faculty premises as a “containment zone” until February 27 to stop additional unfold of coronavirus among the many instructing employees and college students.

“Any unauthorised entry and exit into the notified containment zone are barred for the next seven days. Any movement of any unauthorised individual and vehicle within the notified area is also prohibited with immediate effect,” the order mentioned.
All the lecturers of the varsity have been directed to be current on Monday for COVID-19 testing to be carried out by the Health Department, it mentioned.
Meanwhile, the Assam authorities issued one other order to withdraw necessary COVID-19 testing at airports and railway stations from March 1, owing to a decline in every day optimistic circumstances.
However, the Health and Family Welfare Department will proceed to keep up COVID-19 testing services at designated hospitals and any particular person experiencing signs of the illness can get examined at these facilities, the order mentioned.
“The above measures will be reviewed in case there is an increase in COVID-19 cases or positivity rates,” it added.
