The Uttar Pradesh Health Department has cautioned individuals in opposition to falling prey to tricksters in search of Aadhar card numbers, one-time-passwords and financial institution particulars telephonically on the pretext of getting them registered for anti-Covid vaccination.

A Gorakhpur district well being official stated the state authorities has launched no plan as but to get basic individuals inoculated in opposition to Covid because the state’s precedence is to vaccinate frontline anti-Covid employees.

Accordingly, the cellphone calls being made allegedly on behalf of the state Health Department officers to most of the people to get themselves registered for inoculation after sharing their Aadhar card numbers, OTP, financial institution particulars and so on are sham and folks should not fall prey to such calls, Gorakhpur CMO Dr Srikant Tiwari stated.

“There is no need of giving any detail to anyone in the name of registration for vaccination as people could become victims of cyber-crimes,” he cautioned.
