Avalanche in HP’s Kinnaur closes freeway; snow blocks roads throughout state

SHIMLA: An avalanche hit Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh on Thursday, leaving the Hindustan-Tibet highway blocked, officers mentioned.
The avalanche struck close to Tinku nullah in Pooh and efforts to reopen the highway (National Highway 5) are underway, they mentioned.
According to the officers, snowfall in different components of the state left 256 different roads, together with 4 nationwide highways, blocked.
