Bad climate: Three Delhi-bound flights diverted to Lucknow, Amritsar

New Delhi [India]: Three Delhi-bound flights had been diverted on Tuesday owing to unhealthy climate within the nationwide capital.

One flight was diverted to Lucknow and two flights had been diverted to Amritsar in line with airport sources.

Flight UK836 from Chennai to Delhi and Flight UK960 from Mumbai to Delhi had been diverted to Amritsar (ATQ) resulting from unhealthy climate at Delhi Airport.

Both of the flights reached Amritsar at 3.30 pm and three.40 pm respectively.

“Flight UK836 from Chennai to Delhi (MAA-DEL) has been diverted to Amritsar (ATQ) due to bad weather at Delhi airport and is expected to arrive in Amritsar at 1540hrs,” the airways mentioned in an announcement.

“Flight UK960 from Mumbai to Delhi (BOM-DEL) has been diverted to Amritsar (ATQ) due to bad weather at Delhi Airport and is expected to arrive in Amritsar at 1530 hours,” the airways knowledgeable additional.

Official data on the third flight is awaited.

According to India Meteorological Department, Delhi can have a cloudy sky on July 4 and 5. The Delhites are to expertise mild to average rain or slight thundershowers on July 4 and 5.

And from 6 to twenty July, the sky in Delhi would stay cloudy with mild rains showers, in line with IMD.

The India Meteorological Department on Sunday predicted mild to average rainfall until Wednesday within the Delhi-National Capital Region.

He mentioned that heavy to very heavy rainfall has been predicted for northeastern states for the following 5 days.

The southwest monsoon is now at a complicated stage and is lively within the nation, the Met Department said earlier, including that a number of states are anticipated to obtain heavy rainfall over the following few days.
