Bihar Diwas Kicks Off: Nitish Kumar Unveils 3-Day State Fest

Patna came alive with the spirit of Bihar Diwas as CM Nitish Kumar formally opened the 114th establishment anniversary events at historic Gandhi Maidan via lamp ignition and balloon ascent. The ambitious three-day schedule, captioned ‘Unnat Bihar, Ujjwal Bihar,’ features district-wide activities celebrating heritage and achievements.

Kumar methodically reviewed departmental displays prior to proceedings, with a detailed stop at the Education pavilion. There, he assessed specialized amenities: empowerment zones for the specially-abled, experimental science facilities, creative art studios, tech-savvy smart rooms, career-oriented vocational labs, inventive Atal Tinkering spaces, digital ICT hubs, green eco-clubs, mock youth assemblies, athletic zones, expert Nipun classrooms, and foundational balwadi programs—reflecting Bihar’s educational overhaul.

Prominent figures in attendance included Deputies Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, plus ministers Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Sunil Kumar, Ashok Choudhary, Ramkripal Yadav, Deepak Prakash, and Lakhrendra Kumar Raushan, underscoring governmental synergy.

Concurrently, Dr. Pramod Kumar, the Cooperation Minister, launched the ‘Sahakarita Mandap’ and inspected its stalls, applauding the cooperative movement’s vital role in fortifying rural and farm-based economic structures.
