The Bihar government has greenlit the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rozgar Yojana, a new initiative designed to empower women across all communities economically. The scheme, which was approved in a special cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, seeks to foster self-employment among women. Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena elaborated on the scheme’s details, noting that it was developed after extensive discussions with 70,000 women’s groups in the state. The initiative is intended to provide financial support and promote economic independence for women.
