The Bihar government is extending the Mukhyamantri Nishchay Swayam Sahayata Bhatta Yojana to provide financial assistance to unemployed graduates. The scheme, launched in 2016 as part of the ‘Sushasan’ program and the Seven Resolves, previously offered a monthly allowance of ₹1,000 for up to two years to unemployed individuals aged 20-25 who had completed their 12th standard. The program has been extended to cover the period from 2021-22 to 2025-26. The expansion includes graduates from the Arts, Science, and Commerce streams of recognized universities, colleges, and institutions. The eligible graduates who are between 20-25 years old, unemployed, not enrolled in further education, and actively seeking employment will get ₹1,000 per month for a maximum period of 2 years. The Labor Resources Department, Bihar, will offer free skill development training to the graduate beneficiaries to enhance their employment/self-employment capabilities.
