Bihar’s Sugarcane Industry Minister, Krishnanandan Paswan, has taken a firm stance on sugarcane price payments and survey completion, ordering timely execution and threatening strict consequences for any failures. He has also encouraged increased activity in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to support local development. A review meeting was held at the Development Building office, chaired by the minister, to assess sugarcane payment status, survey progress, departmental schemes, sugar mill expansions, regional development council payments, and the need for research and innovation. The meeting revealed that sugar mills have completed 99.80% of sugarcane payments. The Chief Minister Sugarcane Development Scheme, Sugarcane Mechanization Scheme, and Bihar Jaggery Promotion Scheme were also reviewed for effective implementation.
