Tejashwi Yadav, a prominent leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, narrowly escaped injury in a car accident in Vaishali district. The incident occurred when a truck collided with vehicles in his convoy near Goraul on the Patna-Muzaffarpur highway. Yadav was returning to Patna from a political gathering in Madhepura. The convoy had stopped for a rest stop at about 12:30 AM when the crash happened. While Yadav was getting tea, a truck crashed into the parked security vehicles. Three security officials sustained injuries in the accident and were taken to a hospital. The local police have taken the truck driver into custody and started an investigation into the cause of the accident. The incident has reignited worries about the security of political figures traveling at night in Bihar. Party leaders have emphasized the need for a thorough examination of VIP security measures and improved road safety protocols. Yadav is safe and has since returned to his normal activities.
