The opposition alleges that the Election Commission is working with the BJP to manipulate votes through SIR, including removing names. The Election Commission released a draft voter list on August 1, urging political parties and citizens to address any omissions. Despite the EC’s appeal, no political party has filed formal objections. Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav has pledged to prevent voter fraud in Bihar, but neither he nor his party has filed any appeals or objections regarding the draft list.
