Several new train services have been launched in Bihar, offering improved connectivity. The Prime Minister inaugurated these services, along with new railway lines, via video conferencing from Purnia district. The projects included the foundation stone laying for a new railway line between Vikramshila and Kataria, and the inauguration of a new rail line connecting Araria and Galgaliya (Thakurganj). The new train services include the Katihar-Siliguri Express, Jogbani-Danapur Vande Bharat Express, Saharsa-Chheharta (Amritsar) Amrit Bharat Express, and Jogbani-Erode Amrit Bharat Express.
