While wealth and legal cases often dominate the headlines, the educational and demographic profile of Nitish Kumar’s latest cabinet provides a different perspective on the new government. According to the ADR report, approximately 63% of the ministers, or 15 out of 24, hold a graduate degree or higher, suggesting a qualified leadership team. Another 33% have completed their education up to the intermediate or secondary levels, and one minister holds a technical diploma. In terms of age, the cabinet leanings are heavily towards experience. Nearly 80% of the ministers are between 51 and 80 years old, with only 21% representing the younger 30-50 age bracket. However, gender representation remains low, with only three women ministers, making up a mere 11% of the total analyzed.
