Suresh Yadav, a well-known criminal from Gopalganj, Bihar, was murdered in Howrah, West Bengal. The incident occurred at Sandhya Bazar where unknown assailants on a motorcycle shot and killed him. The police were promptly informed, and they arrived to secure the area and begin their investigation. The body was taken for a post-mortem examination. Yadav faced more than 20 criminal charges, including murder.

He had been wanted by the police for a long period. Yadav had survived two previous attempts on his life.
