Horror unfolded in Bihar’s Bhojpur as 18-year-old Sunny Kumar Singh, an inter student from Ekawna village, was kidnapped en route to coaching and murdered in cold blood. The Badhara resident, staying in Dhanupra with family, left home Friday for KG Road coaching in Nawada. His final calls painted a terrifying picture of his ordeal.
At 10:50 AM, Sunny texted his cousin about suspicious company, then phoned his brother: men were dragging him onto a bike towards Garhni with murder on their minds. The line cut, phone off—family alerted Nawada police immediately.
Officers combed CCTV footage relentlessly, zeroing in on a suspect. Custody interrogation unveiled the plot. That night, Sunny’s body surfaced from a water pit near Piprahia railway underpass in Muffasil area—throat crushed. It’s now at Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
Digging deeper, police uncovered the spark: an Instagram clash over a girl. Her possessive boyfriend and friends abducted, thrashed, and killed Sunny. Three held in custody; questioning intensifies. Nawada SHO Bipin Bihari assured, ‘Full case details soon; no stone unturned.’
The incident has paralyzed the community. Schools and coaching centers buzz with worry. This brutal slaying underscores the perils of unchecked social media rivalries, urging better online etiquette and vigilant parenting. Bhojpur police patrols have surged, but trust hangs in balance until culprits face the law.
