Bihar police have intensified their search for JDU MLA Amarendra Kumar Pandey following the issuance of a non-bailable warrant on Monday. Residents of the Hathua area witnessed a large-scale police operation as teams raided multiple properties linked to the legislator and his family. The investigation focuses on a alleged nexus between political figures and local land mafias in Gopalganj. SP Vinay Tiwari stated that the crackdown is part of a broader effort to dismantle criminal networks regardless of political affiliations. Although the MLA’s primary residence in Tulsia and his business interests were the main targets of the raid, the suspects had already fled the scene. Authorities have now placed several key locations under surveillance and are conducting further raids across the district to prevent the suspects from leaving the state.
