Patna police arrested a suspect linked to the murder of a businessman, resulting in the suspect being shot in the leg during an escape attempt. Anshu Kumar was taken into custody on August 10th in Lucknow in connection with the killing of Ramakant Yadav, a 50-year-old involved in the sand mining business, near his home in the Ranitalab area. The incident happened when the police were leading Kumar to the spot where he had hidden the murder weapon. He tried to flee, and police opened fire. He was shot in the leg and subsequently hospitalized. The weapon used in the murder has been recovered, and Kumar is known to be involved in other criminal activities. Two other individuals have already been arrested, and a minor is in custody in relation to the case.
