Sunday marked a milestone in Patna as the ‘Lets Inspire Bihar’ Literature Festival 2026 unfolded with pomp and purpose. Drawing writers, poets, scholars, and youth nationwide, it blended literary discourse with development dialogues.
Minister Arun Shankar Prasad inaugurated proceedings, hailing literature’s role in societal soul-building. These events, he said, anchor youth to heritage while propelling community advancement.
Chief patron Vikas Vaibhav outlined Bihar’s path to prosperity, targeting 15% growth riding on last year’s 13.09% surge. He championed the state’s 90 million under-30s as its core strength, advocating entrepreneurship. ‘Governments can’t guarantee jobs for all,’ he asserted, pointing to 30 festival-linked startups creating over 100 jobs.
Prasad evoked Bihar’s storied past—Nalanda, Buddha, Dinkar, Renu—via the guru-shishya initiative to preserve arts.
Star attraction: Amit Lodha’s session on literature driving social transformation in Bihar. The IPS-turned-author recounted experiences, endorsing Vaibhav. Under Mrityunjay Sharma’s moderation, speakers urged unity beyond caste and creed.
