Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated the commencement of the Salehpur-Rajgir four-lane highway project in Rajgir, Nalanda. This important infrastructure endeavor encompasses the construction of a four-lane highway from Salehpur to Beloua (Rajgir) via Nursaray-Ahiyapur-Silao, with an estimated cost of ₹862.63 crore. The new highway will contribute to improved connectivity within the Buddhist circuit and reduce the distance from Patna. Furthermore, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Rajgir Road Overbridge (ROB), which cost ₹81.37 crore, and which is designed to alleviate traffic bottlenecks. Alongside the infrastructure initiatives, the Chief Minister reviewed the preparations for the Asia Rugby Under 20 Championship, which will be hosted at the Rajgir Sports Complex, meeting with athletes to inspire and encourage them. The focus on both infrastructure development and sports event preparations highlights the multifaceted growth initiatives within Rajgir.
