Police in Katihar, Bihar, have arrested Firoz Ansari and three contract killers for plotting the murder of Ansari’s father. The motive for the planned killing was the father’s decision to disown his son after his love marriage. The police received information about the plot and apprehended the individuals before the assassination could take place. The contract killers, who worked as laborers in Katihar, were hired for 10 lakh rupees. A written agreement detailing the terms of the murder was recovered by the police. The police confiscated a pistol, a crude handgun, and ammunition. The investigation is ongoing to determine the involvement of any additional individuals in the conspiracy. The contract killers arrested were Shubham Kumar, Sajid Ansari, and Azam Ansari.
