A newly married woman in Munger committed suicide after enduring marital discord stemming from her husband’s affair with his aunt. The bride, married only four months prior, took her own life after repeated attempts to end the illicit relationship failed. The family of the deceased has reported the husband and his family to the police, alleging harassment and mistreatment. Authorities have launched an investigation, with the body sent for a post-mortem. The deceased, Mausam, had married Ajay Tanti. The family claims Ajay was involved in an affair with his aunt. Mausam’s relatives alleged that Ajay physically assaulted her and demanded more dowry, even though a significant amount of money and gifts had been given during the wedding. Mausam’s mother said that Ajay told her daughter that he did not love her, which led her to commit suicide. The police are gathering information and will take further action.
