The NDA, with Nitish Kumar as its CM candidate, is actively campaigning for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, as confirmed by Prime Minister Modi during a public event. However, the Mahagathbandhan has yet to name its CM face. Tejashwi Yadav recently hinted at his candidacy in an interview, a view supported by Congress MP Akhilesh Prasad Singh.
Akhilesh Prasad Singh stated that Tejashwi Yadav is likely to be the Mahagathbandhan’s CM face, given the absence of other viable options within the alliance. Tejashwi Yadav currently leads the Mahagathbandhan in Bihar and is a strong contender for the Chief Minister’s position, while also serving as the Leader of the Opposition. He was the Mahagathbandhan’s CM face in the previous 2020 elections.
In a recent interview, Tejashwi Yadav mentioned that the alliance will not contest the elections without a CM face and that the Mahagathbandhan is discussing this matter. The announcement of the CM face is expected shortly after the conclusion of seat-sharing arrangements. The current focus is on the Adhikar Yatra, which aims to attract investment, promote industrial growth, and address poverty and migration, ultimately creating employment opportunities for the youth of Bihar.
