A truck collided with the convoy of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav on Saturday morning in Vaishali district. The accident occurred near Goraul while Yadav was en route to Patna after a political gathering in Madhepura. The convoy had stopped for a tea break along the Patna-Muzaffarpur highway around 12:30 AM when the collision took place. Yadav, who was a short distance away, escaped injury. Three security personnel were injured and were immediately taken to a nearby hospital. The truck driver was arrested, and the vehicle was impounded. An investigation is ongoing to ascertain the cause of the accident. This incident has reignited discussions regarding the safety of political figures during road travel in Bihar, particularly late at night. RJD members expressed their relief that Yadav was safe and urged for increased road safety measures and more stringent traffic rule enforcement. The incident has led party leaders to demand a thorough review of VIP security protocols.
