The Vijayadashami festival, marked by the burning of Ravana effigies across the country, became a catalyst for political friction in Bihar. The JDU posted an AI-generated video on its social media accounts, igniting political debate. The video features a representation of Lalu Prasad Yadav as Ravana. The AI-generated video depicts Lalu Prasad Yadav with ten heads, each representing societal evils, before his symbolic effigy is burned. The AI video shows Lalu Yadav smiling and wearing a lantern pendant. In the video, a young man, symbolizing the people of Bihar, is shown shooting an arrow, slaying the Ravana-like figure of Lalu Prasad Yadav, symbolizing the victory of good over evil. The post claims that the people of Bihar will eradicate evil this Vijayadashami, reaffirming the perennial defeat of evil. The BJP, in response, projected Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of the Opposition, as Ravana using an image. BJP leader Kundan Krishan commented that Lalu Prasad Yadav’s governance resembled that of a demon. He pointed out the lack of safety and the fear under Lalu Yadav’s governance. He added that the rule of Lalu Yadav was marked by incidents of loot, abduction, and rape. He also stated that the people of Bihar brought an end to Lalu Yadav’s rule and established Ramraj. The BJP states that the people of Bihar guarantee the continuation of Ramraj.
