West Bengal BJP stalwart Dilip Ghosh, speaking in Kharagpur, captured the electric anticipation surrounding the India-Pakistan T20 World Cup clash. ‘No other match matches this intensity—it’s emotion-packed cricket at its finest,’ he enthused, rallying cricket lovers.
He unleashed criticism on the Mamata Banerjee regime over the Messi controversy. ‘Parading a global star to boost election fortunes was a taxpayer-funded farce. Results be damned—the public money has to come back, not from campaign slush funds,’ Ghosh demanded forcefully.
In praise of Union government efforts, Ghosh spotlighted runway-to-highway conversions personally overseen by PM Modi. ‘My area boasts a new 3-km heliport from an old runway. A PM inspection visit would electrify locals and elevate our profile,’ he proposed.
Ghosh voiced alarm at the state’s deteriorating security. ‘Crime waves unchecked because perpetrators are shielded by the powers-that-be. Fear grips everyday folks,’ he stated, urging reforms.
On Saturday, addressing BNP’s Bangladesh election triumph, he called for peaceful governance to advance the country. Slamming TMC, he said, ‘They’ve hijacked temple-mosque issues. Time for Bengal to pick development over such distractions.’
