Raipur buzzed with political heat as Chhattisgarh PCC President Deepak Baij launched a multi-pronged offensive on the BJP governments. Accusing them of bankrupting the state, Baij zeroed in on the provocative Holi liquor shop openings, delivering a sarcastic advisory: make it a 24-hour affair.
Detailing the economic debacle, Baij listed failed strategies—massive debts, tariff hikes on electricity, escalated land values, and incessant business inspections—all yielding zero fiscal relief. “Liquor price surges were step one; now festivals are cash cows. This desperate revenue hunt speaks volumes about governance,” he remarked.
Baij then spotlighted Assam polls, where Congress is mounting a fierce challenge. “Priyanka’s campaign is energizing voters against BJP’s decade of flops. Cash-for-votes schemes targeting women mirror Bihar’s playbook,” he observed.
Critiquing the center, Baij slammed the AI Summit as a national embarrassment. “Modi is cheapening India’s image by peddling China’s robot dog as ours, courtesy of shady ties with Galgotias University,” he alleged.
The Congress leader concluded on a high note, revealing plans for Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge’s visits after Holi. “These mega rallies will dissect BJP shortcomings on jobs, MGNREGA, and more. Our team is fired up and ready.”
