Adultery and Betrayal: Kanker Police Solve Mystery Death

The dark side of an extramarital affair has led to a horrific crime in Chhattisgarh’s Kanker district, where a woman and her lover have been arrested for murdering her husband. Mukesh Vishwas was killed because he had discovered his wife’s infidelity and was preparing to file for divorce. Fearing the social and legal consequences, his wife, Saraswati, conspired with her lover, Indrajit Das, to eliminate him. The conspirators involved two other men, Surendra Bachhad and Ranjit Sarkar, who helped execute the crime by ensuring Mukesh was intoxicated before using power lines from a nearby tube well to end his life. The police used scientific analysis and mobile tower data to place the suspects at the scene, finally bringing the guilty parties to justice. The success in solving this ‘blind murder’ has been praised by senior officials as a testament to modern technical surveillance.
