An alarming incident of animal aggression has been reported in Chhattisgarh’s Balod district. A pet dog, absent from its home in Naragaon for three days, reappeared on Wednesday and attacked 12 villagers in Naragaon and Narra within an hour. The dog had a prior history of aggression, having bitten two people in Bori village before its recent rampage. The injured individuals are receiving treatment at Dhamtari District Hospital. To enhance safety, instructions have been issued to keep school gates closed, and the police have been alerted. Health officials are appealing to the public to treat all dog bites and scratches with seriousness, advising immediate hospital visits for evaluation to prevent potential complications like rabies.
